I'm in my 18th week of pregnancy and I been suffering of a severe acid reflux, I feel that it is getting worse and my appointment is in 3 days. I've been eating and feeling so full, only eating very little. After that, I vomit after every meal, I even vomit water that I drink. What is going on? Tums nor Maalox is working. I'm not eating greasy or fried food, or food that may have acids like citrus fruit or tomatoes. Please help me, my stomach hurts and I'm hungry.

I am in the Army and I have extensive documentation on this MED issue going back almost 5 years. I have just recently had surgery on my stomach it was called laproscopic fundoplication they took the top left of my stomach and wrapped it around my esophagus. It helped but I still have the problem. My question is this, how can I convince the PA when I go to sick call that I cannot perform my daily duties without seriouse health concern and ask the PA to send me to a MED board or get me put in a less stessfull environment, I am a SSG and I am a Mechanic I have over 20 soldiers under me and I am constantly under a ton of pressure. I have one year left in the army but I do not think I can make it. What do I do, please anyone I need some help, this is a serious issue for me and I am clearly concerned as you can tell. the bottom line is, what will the PA most likely say if I request a MED Board or change of Duty , get moved somewhere less stressfull on me.
the only thing that prevents the throwing up is if I eat NOTHING from Noon until the next morning. IF I eat normal dinner at 6 PM and go to bed at 10 or 11...I start throwing up around 1 am -2 am , most the time 2-3 times in a row.... The only thing that would prevent me from throwing up in not eating at all or stand and digest food for 8 hours before bed.What is going on?and what can be done to help this?

I have had severe GERD for about 4 years now. I have tried many medicines but I am now on Protonix. I have severe nausia and burning in my throat. I have a scoping scheduled but the earliest they could get me in is in July! Doctors think I may be completely missing a sphincter in my esophogas. Do you have any remedies for GERD? Besides Tagamet and Alka-seltzer?

For the past 2 days I have been having severe shortness of breath after eating or drinking. The shortness of breath comes on suddenly and I feel like I can't breathe. It's almost as if I am holding my breath for a few seconds and occurs in my stomach and esophagus. It keeps recurring every few minutes/seconds. I am overweight and have suffered with acid reflux off and on. Could this be acid reflux? It's extremely scary. I have a clean bill of health otherwise. I took 3 gaviscon tablets and they only helped momentarily.Hi yes, I have gone for many tests, exams, and health checks over the past few years due to other health problems.
Today at around 6am I had woken up to go to the bathroom my throat was kinda burning since 3am. As I went back into bed I had a massive pain in my chest. It was so bad I thought I would have died. It was so painful and I had not known what it was. I waited for about 10min before I rang the hospital. So I reached there at around 7am. They monitored the baby and all, gave me some milanta and sent me home saying it was the spicy food which I had eaten the night before. They sent me home after some bloods. On the way home the pain started coming. I recahed home had more milanta and then the pain was so bad I couldn't even move or sit up right. It was as if my insides where brusied. OMG anyone else expirienced this? If so what's the best to take, seriously milanta only helps for about one hour.

So my boyfriend has a bad problem w acid reflux, he takes Prilosec everyday and this usually sustains it. I strongly believe he has a stomach ulcer, but we don't have health insurance so we cant go to the doctor.He has been up all night due to severe acid reflux. He has now been puking acid for 1 hour, the past couple times blood and black looking coffee ground stuff have come up. (I know, he should see a doctor, but thats just not possible)I am headed off to the store for something to help, please can I have suggestions? Herbal remedies, OTC medications, anything to alleviate the severe acid problem for now?

I am asking on behalf of my dad since he is not a big computer user. My question is does anyone have severe acid reflux to the point where your throat closes and nothing will go down, not even water. This happens to my dad probably about once or twice a week. He has been to the doctor about it but all they do is say try slowing down when eating. That doesn't help. It just happens out of nowhere. I am just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what they did to help with it. Thanks!
